After studying composition and arranging with Yusef Lateef, Jeff Holmes, David Smith, and working as Gerry Mulligan's arranging assistant, Dion became one of New England's most
sought-after arrangers of band, percussion, jazz ensemble, and field music. His deep understanding of percussion, brass, woodwinds, and string scoring has made him one of today's most versatile writers.
David creates intense, passionate soundscapes with a wide range of styles, moods, and instrumentation. His ability to enhance visual productions of all kinds is extraordinary. ​​​
